Friday Musings
Back from a personal inspection of the cicada situation at Walt Disney World. Must advise you that I found none. Matt and Ben, my two industrious older grandsons felt that Florida should not be left out of the current insect disaster so they took a lot of cicadas along and sprinkled them around. At least the ones that Ethan and Wyatt, the two little ones didn't eat!
What us the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't
know, and I don't care.
Q: What happens when you sing country and western music backwards? A: You get
your wife, job and dog back.
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't I happier?
The man who can smile when things go wrong has thought of someone else he can
blame it on

A FARMER'S WIFE IS BEST SHOT (Glasgow Evening Citizen).
There is a moral to the following so hang in there. My daughter Barbara, the one with the Mercedes, sauna and room for a pony, (For those who enjoy Brit wit) gifted me with a Richard Petty Driving School experience this week at Walt Disney World. I stuffed my ancient body into a Nomex uniform and Helmet and then into an actual NASCAR 700+ horsepower racing car on an actual 1 mile, tri-oval, banked race track. First lap was 114mph. Last three laps were 120-121mph consistently. The rest of the class, 14 men from 21 to 50 years of age topped out from 114 to 118 mph. I won the best lap! Morals to the story - The difference between men and boys is the cost of there toys - or - Don't let your age interfere with your activities - or (and I like this one best) this old dog can still hunt!
