Friday's Musings

Pushing back the frontiers of ignorance.................................

Reaction to that thug and tinhorn dictator - Hugo Chavez's Bush-bashing tirade at the United Nations on Wednesday drew no known response from Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi or "Dingy" Harry Read. Rumor has it that they wrote Chavez' speech in which he called our current President a DEVIL!

And speaking of "no class idiots" - Just two weeks into her new job as co-host of "The View," comedienne, actress and political activist Rosie O'Donnell has made her views about Christianity known to the world... Rosie says radical Christians are the same as 911 terrorists. What do you call four dogs on a couch? The View!

Muttering From That Marvelous Mary..................

My horoscope read, "You're going places and you can't be stopped." Apparently the cop who gave me a ticket hadn't read it.

A word to the wise isn't necessary, it's the stupid ones who need the advice.

To stay young, associate with young people. To age faster, try keeping up with them

Strange how much you've got to know before you know how little you know.

I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, only in alphabetical order like it should be.

"I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." -- Clarence Darrow

"He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary." -- William Faulkner (about Ernest Hemingway)

"Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?" -- Ernest Hemingway (about William Faulkner)

"Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I'll waste no time reading it." -- Moses Hadas

Thoughts for today's persons........................

The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there is a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

If you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them all... five or six at a time... on a hill... in the fog.

If the shoe fits, get another one just like it.

The things that come to those who wait will be the things left by those who got there first.

Well, that's about enough from your embedded reporter, on the fringe of Absurdia, the sorry capital city of The Peoples Republic of Absurdistan, widely acknowledged as the most corrupt legislature in the country, where the same party has been in power since 1898.

And on the other hand - Life is best when you're busy working on it. And it can just keep getting better and better
