Pushing back the frontiers of
The long-awaited Iraq Study Group's report on policy options for Iraq was released today. This "Brain Trust," our "Smartest People in the Room" decided that they had 79 (seventy-nine!) recommendations. Recommendation Number 19 is "The President and his staff should stay in close communication with the elected leaders of Iraq. I'm not making that up!
Eight months of study, one quick trip to Iraq (where only Baker went out of the "Green Zone") (and not one military person in the "Study Group!") I want my money back! "The best and brightest - indeed!"
